- B+N Industries Fortina in detail
THE COMPANY
As part of the Momentum Textiles Group, B+N Industries develops innovative modular furniture and architectural solutions for international brands such as McDonald’s and Bank of America. This marks the fourth product configurator that Combeenation has built together with B+N Industries — another milestone in a long-standing partnership and in bringing complex product worlds into the digital space.
THE SOLUTION
With Fortina, B+N Industries created a modular slat system that opens up nearly limitless design possibilities for walls, ceilings, and spatial concepts. The sheer range of options — slat profiles, finishes, spacing, and cut-outs — makes planning especially complex. Precise spacing, cut optimization, and material calculations all have to be accounted for down to the detail — making it a perfect fit for an intelligent 3D configurator.
1. Configurator
- Error-free planning, guaranteed – spacing between slats, wall or ceiling mounting, and technical requirements are all automatically accounted for and validated.
- User-friendly by design – so simple that customers and planners can configure on their own, without any support.
- Dynamic dimensions, visualized live – precise and true to scale in 3D — including background calculations like beam lengths, spacing, and required construction elements.

Cut Optimization
Cut-Out Zones
Cut-outs for doors, windows, or technical penetrations can be defined and precisely placed live, right inside the configurator. Move a cut-out, and the surrounding slat spacing adjusts automatically — visualized instantly in real time, with a live readout of all dimensions.
Automatic Bill of Materials
Every single slat, screw, and connector is automatically captured in the background in a complete bill of materials — exportable anytime at the click of a button.
Automatically Validated Mounts & Stringers
The product logic automatically checks that every beam has the two required mounting points and that all substructure elements are properly planned in — even across complex cut-out zones, where technical planning quickly gets demanding.
2. Pricing Management
- Real-time pricing — the right price instantly, with zero wait.
- Automated costing down to the smallest detail — every screw, every connector, every cut, and every custom requirement is calculated precisely and automatically in the background.
3. Quote Management
- Send inquiries - configurations can be submitted directly as an inquiry.
- Revisit any configuration - save your configurations anytime and pick up right where you left off.

Export Formats for Planners
CSV, DXF, and GLB downloads — plus screenshots — make it easy to carry your work into external planning and CAD programs.
Convert Inquiry to Quote
Inquiries can be seamlessly turned into concrete quotes — and direct integration with existing ERP systems is already on the roadmap.
Complexity, intelligently automated
What once required deep technical expertise, manual calculations, and error-prone planning now runs intelligently automated in the background. Spacing, cut-outs, material logic, and pricing are calculated, validated, and visualized in real time — all automatically. Even the planning of complex slat systems becomes simple, intuitive, and reliably reproducible — for sales teams, planners, and customers alike.
